Featured Event: October 12, 2014 - A Night of Great Sax More Than Great!

Night of Great Sax Was Better Than GREAT!

A Night of Great Sax was a big success! The music, food, drinks and entertainment were amazing! Create Now raised money to provide more of our therapeutic arts programs to the neediest youth. We had a blast, especially the kids from the LA Family Housing shelter in North Hollywood who blew everyone away with their amazing performance of "Someone Like You." Olivia Counts, Anecysia Robertson and Asia Vasquez sang their hearts out and brought chills to everyone. They were excited about the money they earned for participating, and proud to show off their talents to the family members in attendance.

Tasha Caufield flew in from Florida just to share her story of how Create Now impacted her life. Click here for a short video about Tasha.

Special thanks to Dave Koz and Michael Lington for the phenomenal concert, and to Debra Wilson for providing comedy and passion for our mission as the host. None of this would have been possible without Create Now Board Member Mark Schulman, drummer extraordinaire and organizer of the event. Julian Coryell was the Music Director and guitarist. Chris Golden played bass and Michael Bluestein played keyboards. - Read More

Featured Event: August, 2014 E-Racing a Hit With Foster Youth

On Thursday, August 7th, foster youth from LeRoy Haynes and New Dawn group homes, along with their mentors, grad students from Art Center College of Design, participated in the 9th Annual "Formula-E" Race at Art Center College of Design with teams from China, several Southern California campuses and Mattel's "Hot Wheels," racing in various competitions that require all cars to be propelled by rubber bands.

Create Now provided a booth there, where the kids and their mentors got to show off their rubber band cars and artwork. Dozens of other homeless and foster children were at the event to enjoy the festivities, along with local participants and visitors and Create Now supporters. This was a fantastic opportunity for our kids to interact with the community and receive honest admiration for their newly-learned skills. - Read More
