Natalie R. Brill

Natalie Brill retired from the City of Los Angeles in November 2020 after 33 years, where she was the Debt Manager for over 20 years. Ms. Brill managed a $6 billion debt portfolio, completing 108 transactions. Many of these programs included innovative re-financings producing millions of dollars in savings to the City’s taxpayers. Ms. Brill diversified the City’s pool of vendors, which created opportunities for women-owned and minority-owned firms and benefited the City through the opening of offices in Los Angeles. 

Ms. Brill received the California Public Service Association “Award in Excellence” for her work in public finance. The National Women in Public Finance awarded her the “She’s My Hero Award” for her ability to balance her professional and private lives. Ms. Brill was a finalist for the Los Angeles Business Journal Women Summit Award, recognizing her work as the City’s Debt Manager in saving taxpayers millions of dollars. In 2019, she received the Social Bond Award for the 2018 Housing Bond from Environmental Finance, and the Excellence in Disclosure award from the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. 

Ms. Brill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Pomona College and a Master of Arts Degree in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Ms. Brill lives in the City of Los Angeles with her husband and has two grown children.

In addition to Create Now, Natalie is currently serving on several non-profit boards, such as Women in Public Finance as National Secretary and National Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, on the Los Angeles Chapter Board as National Board Liaison, and on the Latino in Public Finance Board as Treasurer.
