Optimal Candidate for the Board: An optimal candidate for our board deeply values the arts and youth empowerment, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We seek individuals with expertise in nonprofit management, finance, fund development, education, legal affairs, systems or strategic planning.
Connections to the arts and creative industries are desirable but are not needed, along with experience in community outreach and development. Ideal candidates should also possess strong networks within the Los Angeles or North Carolina areas to help expand our impact and support our initiatives.

Participation expectations:
Board members are expected to fully commit to hybrid board service, which includes attending some meetings and events in person, while also allowing for participation in virtual meetings and events. This flexibility supports our national expansion while ensuring effective governance and inclusivity. In addition to regular attendance, board members are required to meet the annual “Give and Get” policy and serve on at least one committee, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Full commitment is expected from all members, regardless of their participation format, to maintain high standards of governance and engagement.
