We at Create Now are excited to announce our new partnership with Earth, Wind and Fire’s very own Verdine White and wife Shelly Clarkson of Honey Cone.
If you are unaware of who Verdine White is, he is best known as a founding member and bassist for the band Earth, Wind & Fire and is No. 19 on Rolling Stone’s list of The 50 Greatest Bassists of All Time.
Back in December of 2021, our CEO Brandon Dean Johnson met with both Verdine and Shelly where they made a donation of $20,000! In addition, they are also looking to teach music courses and bring in others to support Create Now, too.
These music courses are especially exciting for Create Now because, “children who study a musical instrument are more likely to excel in all of their studies, work better in teams, have enhanced critical thinking skills, stay in school, and pursue further education.” -from dosomething.org
