We at Create Now would like to thank the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, for their support of our most recent programs. Through the DCA’s generous grant we were able to provide over 50 youth from Penny Lane Centers and the surrounding community with creative and interactive arts programming while also allowing them to explore the Discovery Cube of Los Angeles.
A little info about this program:
Many different art disciplines were provide to youth between the ages of 3-16.Drawing and painting was taught to teens at Penny Lane Center’s Moonlight Villas in Pacoima by artist J Michael Walker. Younger children learned Bollywood Dance from Jill Collins. And GRAMMY Nominated Singer/Songwriter Kymberly Stewart guided the little ones in fun, interactive song and dance. Our culminating event took place at the The Discovery Cube of Los Angeles, where kids enjoyed snacks, music, and fun interactive / educational exhibits.
